The sensor line carries the signal from the lower head assembly to the height-control system. Unstable height can involve the ceramic, nozzle, contacts or settings, not just the cable. Identifying the faulty component first avoids replacing working assemblies at random.
Height-sensing cables depend on head revision: BM111 connector types changed over time. Cable length alone does not identify the part. Photographs of both ends and the head's date or serial identification distinguish otherwise similar versions.

Photograph both connectors closely. SMA and SMB have different connections even when the cables look similar.
Confirm the manufacture date or head revision: BM111 heads use different sensor cables.
