Code and geometry

Ceramics for nozzle mounting and capacitive height sensing. Selected by part number, geometry and head revision.

Similar-looking rings can have different contacts, heights and threads. Show both sides of the holder and the head nameplate so we can check the version before ordering.

What it is used for

Ceramic rings and nozzle holders

The ceramic holder insulates the nozzle from the head body and forms part of the metal stand-off sensing assembly. Cracks, damaged seats or contacts can affect measurement. After a collision, inspect the whole lower assembly rather than only the visible part of the ring.

How to select the right part

Ceramics form part of the lower head assembly, not merely a thread adapter. Contact position and height affect the height-sensing assembly. Following an impact, inspect the mounting and adjacent components before fitting a replacement ring.

How to select the right part

Find the part number on the component or packaging. Without it, we need the outside diameter, height and thread.

Send photos of the contacts and seating surface. Different revisions of a head do not always use the same ceramic.

After replacement, perform the manufacturer's prescribed height calibration. Do not attempt to repair cracks with adhesive.

Ask about ceramics

Send the machine and head model, photographs of the markings and part, its dimensions and the quantity required. If replacing a faulty assembly, briefly describe the symptoms. Price and lead time on request. We check compatibility and confirm the required version before ordering.
