A gantry moves the five-axis head over the workpiece. Adjustable supports accommodate profiles of different widths; programming can use structural 3D-model data. File-format and postprocessor compatibility are checked before commissioning.

GKS-12015S structural profile laser

GKS-12015S processes spatial profiles rather than only flat sheet nests. Beam work depends on flange and web access, hole orientation and edge preparation for assembly. Axis travels should not be interpreted as the allowable dimensions of any workpiece.

Choosing a configuration

X/Y/Z travels of 3500/28000/1050 mm describe the axes, not a guaranteed profile size. Allowed section, length, weight and access to each face depend on supports and head trajectory. Positioning accuracy of ±0.25 mm/m is not the tolerance of a completed welded assembly.

A 12, 20 or 30 kW source, supports, programming, slag removal, extraction and crane loading. Provide profile drawings, steel grades, wall thicknesses, batches and workshop layout. Dual-zone arrangement, protection and actual cycle are agreed for the job.
