A handheld head delivers the beam and shielding gas to the joint, while its optics form the processing area. Results depend on the source, head, wire feed and safety systems working together. Replacing the head alone does not automatically increase power or add new machine modes.
A handheld welding head is selected together with its controller, source, cooling and wire feed. A matching optical connector does not establish full compatibility. Replacing SUP23T or another head also requires checking control signals and protection functions.
